~ Ususally when I buy Corynn something I am sure to tell her the price, with hopes of instilling a sense of money in her. The one exception I have is Christmas. So, after opening all her presents, Corynn kept wanting to know how much each present cost. Since I refused to tell her, she kept pestering me. I finally asked her why she wanted to know so bad, was she trying to determine her self worth? "Self worth?" she asked. "I already know how much I'm worth. I'm priceless."
~ One day Corynn asked me if we are in the Animal Kingdom, to which I said yes. "Are you sure?" She asked again. "Yes, we are Homosapiens, which are in the Animal Kingdom." As she turned around I heard her mutter under her breath, "I'm going to ask Dad. He went to college."
~ When my mother-in-law came out to help me when Masen was born, she kept asking me to let her take him during the night so I could get some sleep. I told her I would love to let her take him, but I needed to nurse him. Jokingly, she said she could nurse him. Dallin looked at his grandma in horror. "Grandma, your milk is so old, it's probably sour."
~ When the kids came to the hospital when Masen was born, Dallin took one look at my tummy and asked, "Mom do you still have another baby in your tummy?" Thanks bud!
~ Dallin told me the other day that he was kind of scared to get baptized when he turns 8 next month. I asked him why. "I think it would be kind of scary to see the Holy Ghost."
~ I was talking to Dallin one day about Daddy going on a safari while he was in India, where he got to ride on an elephant. Dallin said someday he would like to ride a camel. After thinking about it though, he changed his mind. "Never mind. I don't really want to ride on a camel because they have humps, and it might hurt my tenders."
~ After Corynn discovered some hair growing on her toes, she told me, "Hey Mom, I have hair on my toes just like you." (Do I really need to be reminded of unwanted body hair?) I told her that it was just starting, to which she replied, "When is this puberty nightmare ever going to END?" Hate to tell ya sis, but it's just beginning :)
I am a 30 something stay at home mom, with 3 great kids, and a wonderful husband. We are living it up here in beautiful Hawaii for the next couple of years.
