Waiting...waiting...waiting

I know I haven't posted in a while, mostly because we haven't been up to anything exciting. We are just waiting for Masen to make his debut. I feel like I am ready, but he must not feel the same, because he is not budging. I've done everything I can think of to get labor going, but...nope, nothing. The doctors have done everything short of breaking my water, but...nope, nothing. I'm trying to be patient, but it's getting ridiculous. This morning I told the kids when they got home from school we were going to play a little game on the trampoline, sort of like "crack the egg," but we were going to call it "break the water."Chris was worried I'm going to give the baby brain damage, but I remined him that Corynn turned out fine. About 10 years ago Corynn was 10 days overdue so one day I finally jumped on the bed. Sure enough, that night my water broke. We will see if this will have the same effect...stay tuned.

I Am My Mother's Daughter

The other day I went to go take my nightly vitamins, and noticed I had forgotten to take my morning vitamins. So, I dumped the whole lot into my hand, and after staring at the pile for a minute I had a revealation: I am my mother's daughter. My mom is the supplement manager at a health food store, and she has one cupboard in her kitchen to which my husband lovingly refers to as "Carol's Pharmacy" because it is so chalk full of supplements. I am not really a "pill" person, but I have been converted to the value of suppplements, especially during pregnancy. So, bottoms up! Here is to health!
For any who might be interested the top row is Calcium/Magnesium, the second row is Potassium (for those darned leg cramps), and Vitamin B, third row is Prenatal Vitamins and Pantothenic Acid (which I've added more of, along with Evening Primrose Oil). I will be glad to give all (or at least most) of these up after baby is born.
